The Habit I Wish I Could Break

What is it with the 4 o'clock in the morning hour? For some reason, I can NEVER sleep through it. Every morning, I wake up sometime during that hour, and I lie there wondering why. By the time I fall back to sleep (usually around 5:30 or 6:00), it's almost time to get up again. Is this hereditary? I know Mom says she usually wakes up around then, too. In any case, it's annoying.

i almost wish i had this problem. i truly love being up early, but i hate to be awakened early by an alarm or something. if i could just wake up, i'd be fine.

Yes it is very annoying. I wake up anywhere between 3 or 4. I started a deep breathing thing where I inhale and say, "deep" and exhale and say "breath". Do it slowly. It clears your mind and relaxes you to be able to fall back to sleep. It doesn't always help but it has helped alot. Maybe it's the pregnancy thing. I decided I would just get up at 5 and go exercise before I was too tired and then not wanting to ever get up.

for me it's a pms thing. The exact thing happens to me 1-2 weeks out of the month. when I wake up in the middle of the night, I just start counting until I get to 100, then I start adding numbers until it makes me bored and I fall asleep. It's annoying.
